On the evening of March 22, the scouts enjoyed a night of skill and fun at this year’s Marble Shoot. Everyone had a great time, and some great prizes were handed out to the best-in-class Marble Shooters.
Scouts Celebrate at the Blue & Gold Luncheon

On Their Way to Boy Scout Leadership
On Thursday, January 26, 2012 fourteen Webelos II’s crossed-over to become Boy Scouts. In addition to being honored with the highest rank in Cub Scouts, the young men handed seniority to the Webelos I’s during a Rope Circle Ceremony. After enjoying the Cross-Over Dancers each scout Bridged to their future Troop. Congratulations Boys, you should all be very proud of your accomplishment.
Libertyville Pack 71 Pinewood Derby
Libertyville Pack 71 held their Pinewood Derby on the evening of Friday, January 13th, 2012. The races were very loud and very fun, just the way they are supposed to be.
Fall Camp-out at OhDaKoTa
The weather was great and we all had fun orienteering and cooking spaghetti and sausages and watching movies at bedtime.


Pack 71 Polishes off Another Successful Car Wash
The annual Pack 71 car wash was a great success once again. Thanks to Culver’s for being a gracious host.
Scouts vs. Bluegills at Lake Minear
It was a beautiful day for the annual competition between Scouts, and their worthy adversary “Da Bluegills”. Everyone had a good time and like most Chicago sporting contests…”There’s always next year to catch the big one”.
Cub Scout Float Wins 1st Place in Libertyville Days Parade!
Libertyville Cub Scouts impressed the judges with our version of Peace, Love and Libertyville Scouting. Camping, a campfire and lots of scouts and flags. Congratulations to all especially our sponsor, Kevin Laska and NORTH SHORE SIGN COMPANY who donated the truck and the terrific banners!!
Spring Camp-out at Indian Mounds Scout Reservation (something for everyone)
With good weather and plenty of exciting programs to enjoy, we experienced our first two-night camping trip to Oconomowoc Wisconsin to visit Indian Mounds Scout Reservation. We made swords and shields, stormed the castle, dueled, launched water bottle rockets, caught fish, cooked over an open fire, enjoyed skits and retired a huge 12 foot x 18 foot American Flag during a campfire ceremony. WOW!
